SUL Course Content

At SUL, it is very important to us that students improve their English during their stay in the UK.
All courses include lesson content which will benefit the student both during and after their visit, whether it be language to communicate with host families, language to go shopping or language to join in eam-building activities.
The content of the course is tailored to each group depending on the students’ abilities. We work closely with our teachers to ensure all students gain confidence using English in everyday situations.
On typical programmes we have a strong focus on speaking and listening, aiming to improve fluency and accuracy in both grammar and vocabulary. We can also tailor the course to focus on specific needs we can do this better if we are told about the students’ requirements in advance.
The sizes of our classes vary from a very small group up to 15 students.

Whether you choose a residential centre or homestay option, we can provide a full activity programme to suit your group’s needs.
This may include exciting sports such as surfing, horse riding and tennis or guided tours.
In addition we can offer activities which promote communication, team building and leadership skills, while having fun at the same time.
No matter which type of programme you choose, SUL’s experience in providing courses to young people means students will be both educated and motivated to speak in English during their stay.

All courses can include educational visits and excursions to exciting destinations in the UK, regardless of the specific programme or location you choose. We work hard to ensure the trips are both cultural and educational, as well as giving students free time to explore and go shopping.
On all excursions the SUL trip leaders inform the group of the history and cultural importance of what they are seeing. This is done interactively through quizzes and questions to make the information as memorable as possible.
For more information on the specific destinations on offer, please refer to our location pages.

We are so happy! The children like their lessons and appreciate this opportunity. Thank you!
